Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website or submitting a booking request for Sunshine Coast Waterfront Vacation Rental (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

Property Description

We operate a waterfront vacation rental property located in Tuwanek on British Columbia’s Sunshine Coast. The property sleeps up to 8 guests with 3 bedrooms and direct beach access. Photos, videos, and descriptions on this website represent the property accurately to the best of our ability, though minor variations may occur due to seasonal changes, maintenance, or updates.

Booking and Reservations

Submitting a booking request through our website does not guarantee a reservation. All bookings are request-based and subject to availability. After receiving your request, we will review availability and contact you to confirm or discuss your reservation.

• A reservation is only confirmed once you receive written confirmation from us (email or other written communication)
• The primary guest making the reservation must be at least 19 years of age, in accordance with British Columbia law
• You are responsible for providing accurate contact information and guest details at the time of booking

Pricing and Payment

• Nightly rates vary by season and are communicated during the booking confirmation process
• Additional fees such as cleaning fees will be outlined before you confirm your reservation
• Applicable taxes including GST (5%), PST (8%), and Municipal and Regional District Tax (MRDT) will be added to the total
• Payment terms and accepted methods will be provided upon booking confirmation
• All prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD)

Cancellation and Refund Policy

The following cancellation terms apply once a booking is confirmed:

• 60 or more days before check-in: full refund minus any non-refundable booking fees
• 30 to 59 days before check-in: 50% refund of the total accommodation cost
• Less than 30 days before check-in: no refund

In the event of extenuating circumstances (such as natural disasters, government travel restrictions, or other events beyond your control), we will work with you to find a reasonable resolution, which may include rescheduling or credit toward a future stay.

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing through our contact page or by email.

Check-in and Check-out

• Check-in time: 4:00 PM
• Check-out time: 11:00 AM
• Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and is subject to availability
• Access instructions will be provided prior to your arrival

House Rules

All guests are expected to respect the property, the neighbourhood, and the natural environment. By booking, you agree to the following:

• Maximum occupancy: 8 guests. The number of guests must not exceed what was stated in your booking
• No smoking: smoking is not permitted inside the property. Smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas only
• Pets: please inquire about our pet policy before booking. If pets are approved, an additional cleaning fee may apply
• Quiet hours: please keep noise to a minimum between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM out of respect for neighbours
• Parking: parking is available on-site. Details will be provided with your check-in instructions
• No parties or events: the property is for vacation accommodation only and is not to be used for parties, events, or commercial activities without prior written consent
• Garbage and recycling: guests are asked to follow local waste sorting guidelines. Instructions are provided at the property
• Beach and waterfront: guests use the beach and waterfront areas at their own risk. Please be mindful of tides and water safety

Property Damage and Security Deposit

A security deposit may be required at the time of booking confirmation. The deposit amount will be communicated before you confirm your reservation.

• The deposit will be returned within 14 days of check-out, provided no damage is found beyond normal wear and tear
• Guests are responsible for any damage to the property, furnishings, or equipment caused during their stay
• Please report any damage or maintenance issues promptly so we can address them

Limitation of Liability

We make every effort to ensure the property is safe, clean, and well-maintained. However:

• We are not liable for personal injury, loss of personal belongings, or damage to vehicles during your stay
• We are not responsible for disruptions caused by events outside our control, including but not limited to weather, power outages, natural disasters, or construction in the area
• Guests use all property amenities, including the beach and waterfront, at their own risk

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including photographs, videos, text, and design, is the property of Sunshine Coast Waterfront Vacation Rental or its content providers and is protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website without our prior written permission.

Website Use

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes. You may not use the website to submit false or misleading booking requests, attempt to disrupt website functionality, or collect personal information of other users.

Privacy

Your use of our website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
